The first day of the 23-24 school year is Tuesday, August 15. All elementary (Kindergarten-5th), 7th, 9th, and 10th grade students, as well as any student new to the district will begin with a half day orientation on August 15. Sixth graders at Abe Hubert, Jennie Barker, and Plymell are also encouraged to attend school that day, but won't be counted absent if they don't attend.

⏰ GC Achieve will dismiss at 11:40 a.m.
⏰ BSIC, CSIC, and all elementary schools will dismiss at 11:50 a.m.

All staff members will be in our Back to School Inservice on Friday, August 11. Schools and district offices will be closed from 8:00-10:30 a.m. and will reopen shortly after the inservice ends.

Start and end times at all schools have been updated for the 2023-24 school year. Per the negotiated agreement between the district and the Garden City Education Association, daily student contact time decreased 20 minutes.

Parents, the first day of school is right around the corner! If you still need to enroll your child, you can do so at their school or online. We encourage you to call your child's school prior to arriving as some offices are unavailable due to facilities projects.
